Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
All Egyptian nationals under the age of 35 are eligible for the Citadel scholarship.

All academic fields and countries are eligible under the Citadel Scholarship.

What are the degrees funded by the Citadel Scholarship?
We fund graduate students applying for full Masters as well as PhD programs at foreign universities.

How much funding does the scholarship offer?
The Citadel Scholarship funds under two schemes: the full scholarship covering tuition and living expenses (as listed by the university) and the partial scholarship covering tuition only. The ceiling for tuition fees is 50,000 USD per annum.

On what basis do you decide who will obtain the full scholarship vs. the partial?
This decision is decided based on the quality of the application, financial condition of the applicant and is ultimately assessed by the evaluating committee.

What are the conditions for applying?
The main condition to apply for a Citadel scholarship is to be accepted at the university of choice. High ranking universities are always preferred (information on university rankings can be obtained through the internet). A valid official acceptance letter from the university is required for the application to be processed. Conditional acceptance letters are acceptable if they are solely on condition of financing.

When will the Citadel application be downloadable online?
The application form will be available for download on our website as soon as the announcement is made (on the website as well as in local newspapers) and we will then begin to receive application packages. However, students are encouraged to begin applying to universities in order to obtain their acceptance letters -to begin studying in the fall term. As soon as they have obtained this acceptance letter, they will only have to fill in the application and prepare the remaining required documents (available here), and submit them to us before the April 30th deadline.
